Can I bring my medication to South Africa?

You are allowed to bring in one month’s supply of pharmaceutical drugs or medicines for your personal use when travelling to South Africa.

Any additional medication must be accompanied by a letter or certified prescription from a registered physician/doctor, and have to be declared.

However, it is always a good idea to bring a letter from your doctor when travelling with medicine that are only available on a prescription.
