New processing procedure

New visa processing procedure

We are visa hubbing

From 1st July 2020 the Danish Embassy in Pretoria ceases to issue visas. This means that all applications submitted in South Africa for short stay visas to Denmark, Iceland, Greenland and the Faroe Islands will be processed by the Danish Consulate General in Dubai.

The Consulate in Dubai will also be the HUB for all short stay visa applications submitted in Morrocco, Palestine and UAE.

Please note that this change in procedure will not have any effect on how applicants must apply in South Africa.

Applicants must still follow the 7 steps below. The only difference will be a new e-mail address to use for visa enquiries, namely [email protected]

Step 1: Download list of required documents
Step 2: Complete the online application form on ApplyVisa.um.dk
Step 3: Pay the visa fee online using a credit or debit card (Visa, MasterCard, American Express; Dankort and JCB)
Step 4: Print and sign the cover letter
Step 5: Using the list of required documents, start to gather all the supporting documents needed for your application
Step 6: Make an appointment with VFS to do biometrics, and hand in the signed cover letter, photo and all supporting documents.
Step7: Collect your visa

For an elaboration on each step, please go to the process page.
