Nils’s educational background is a MBA in International business from NYIT in New York. Furthermore Nils is a graduate from The Danish Export school (Den Danske Eksportskole) in Herning, Denmark.
Nils has more than 20 years of professional experience from sales, marketing and internationalization mostly within the furniture and design industry. He has previously lived and worked abroad in the United States, Germany, Finland and Sweden. He joined the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 2013 as team leader in the Trade Council and started at the Danish Embassy in Pretoria as Head of the Trade Department in 2014.

Jimmy has re-joined the Embassy in 2015. He has a M.Sc. in Public Administration and has more than six years of business consultancy based experience from Denmark. During the past four years, he has obtained a wide range of international experiences; studying in New Zealand, conducting a traineeship at the Embassy in Pretoria as well as working at the EU Delegation in Indonesia.
As a Trade Officer, his focus is on facilitating trade between Denmark and Southern Africa, assisting companies on export promotion, conducting market analysis, export, import, partner search, etc. Having a political understanding, his role is also to report on broader macroeconomic areas, infrastructure developments and economic regionalisation with the aim of facilitating Danish exports to the broader Sub-Saharan Africa. Jimmy’s main area is the renewable energy sector including wind, solar, bio and well as the water sector.
Inês Cerqueira Mendes

Inês joined the Embassy in March 2015. She was born in Angola and pursued her education in Portugal where she obtained a degree in Political Science in International Relations and post graduated in Law. She also obtained a Bachelor in Marketing Management. Her vast knowledge, 21 years”s experience, including working with Angola and her academic qualifications are of great contribution when performing her duties in African emerging markets such as the African Portuguese and French spoken side-accredited countries such as Angola and DRC.
Prior to joining our team, she was responsible for implementing the commercial relations and Trade between Canada and Angola. She holds a deep and broader knowledge in Corporate Sales and Strategy as result of her experience working in the biggest Portuguese private sector company SONAE Group. Inês is proficient in advancing the interest of international companies in African markets through Business Development, Market Access, Foreign Policies, International Trade and External Relations. She is very well known for her professional capacities in Angola. Her main area is within wind energy and all the sectors in the Angolan market.
Jabulane Walter Hadebe

Jabulane’s educational background is a M.Sc. in Masters in International Politics and Economics from KU Leuven in Belgium. Furthermore Jabulane holds an Honours Degree in International Politics from University of East London, London, United Kingdom. He also holds a diploma in Business Management from South Africa. Jabulane joined the Embassy in 2015. Jabulane has more than 9 years of professional experience working for different multinational companies, his areas of expertise, includes sales, project management, business development, product development, innovation, client relations and business analysis. The last 2½ after moving back to South Africa, he joined one of the banking institutions Barclays Africa in the Retail Banking sector working within business development, project management.
His position at the Embassy is two-fold. As a Trade Officer, his focus is on facilitating trade between Denmark and Southern Africa, assisting companies on export promotion, whether it is market analysis, export, import, partner search, etc. As a Commercial and Financial Advisor, his role is to further Danish economic interest by providing information and facilitation of financial possibilities, such as investment and funding, for Danish exports to Sub-Saharan Africa.

J.D. joined the Embassy in May 2016. His educational background is a B.Sc Agric (Agricultural Biology) from Stellenbosch University in South Africa. He is also a graduate of DOW Chemical Company’s Commercial Development Program in Zurich, Switzerland. During the past three years, he has obtained vast commercial experience, both locally and internationally. As a Trade Officer at the Embassy, he will focus on assisting trade between Denmark and South Africa, specifically focus on the health sector, while also assisting on other sectors such as design, agriculture etc.

Nina joined the embassy as an intern in August, 2016. Nina obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Asian Studies with a main focus on China and Mandarin Chinese from Copenhagen Business School in 2015. This laid the foundation for her further studies in MSc Business and Development Studies, which she is to finish in 2017. This educational background has had particular focus on creating an understanding of the broader economic, social, environmental, and cultural contexts that firms in and from emerging markets have to contend with in the framework of the global economy. It is from here that Nina’s personal interests within business in developing countries has created a strong incentive to focus on the sectors of energy, design and water at the Embassy. Nina’s main competencies are within development, strategy and project coordination and she has solid experience with inter-cultural teamwork.
