Since 2010, Denmark and the South African Institute of International Affairs (SAIIA)have been cooperating towards regional peace, security and economic integration in sub-Saharan Africa, as part of the Danish Regional Programme.

The world’s most comprehensive ranking of think tanks, the Global Go To survey, has found SAIIA to be the leading think tank in sub-Saharan Africa, ahead of 553 other think tanks in the region. This is the 4th consecutive year SAIIA achieves top rank, based on the very high impact and quality of its work.

Two of Denmark’s other regional partners within this programme, the Institute for Security Studies and the Centre for Conflict Resolution, also rank prominently in this year’s survey, as respectively #2 and #6.
