Copenhagen Royal Chapel Choir on tour in South Africa

The Royal Danish Embassy to South Africa is delighted to announce that the Copenhagen Royal Chapel Choir, under the patronage of his Royal Highness the Prince Consort of Denmark, will now embark on a tour throughout South Africa performing in six cities.

The Copenhagen Royal Chapel Choir is among the finest of its kind in Europe and all together consists of 60 boys  and 30 professional male choristers. The choir will start showcasing their talents this coming Sunday (April 14th) and Monday (April 15th) in Soweto and Pretoria respectively.

In Denmark, the Royal Chapel Choir performs at state occasions, during royal visits abroad and is called upon to celebrate special occasions in the Royal Family.

The Copenhagen Royal Chapel Choir is being led by conductor Ebbe Munk and supported by recognised musicians. Experiencing the choir is a unique experience as the choir last performed in South Africa 10 years ago.
